Learning Objectives

If a child runs to touch classroom objects during preview, pause: "Walking feet to your dot. Hunt starts soon β sit first."
If a child hides a foam shape under their shirt, gentle redirect: "Shapes stay in hands β show me your circle foam."

If air-drawing becomes wild scribbling, reset: "Slow finger β watch my circle β copy me."

Step 3 Β· Opening Up (β8 min)
Purpose: MAIN theme activity β Classroom Shape Hunt with clipboards, real-object finds, and choral naming.

If a child calls everything "circle," pause at the object: "Count the sides β one round side β circle. Four sides β that's square. Try again."
If a child runs ahead during the hunt, stop the group: "Walking feet behind me. I wait for everyone." Point to Sit card at circle return.
If a child ticks all boxes without looking, kneel beside them: "Let's find circle together β look at the clock β tick now."
If a child touches fragile displays, redirect: "Eyes and point only β no touching. Circle β point!"
- Distribute clipboards at circle β model tick motion (β1 min).
- Guided hunt: circle (clock) β square (window) β triangle (roof poster) β star (door sticker) (β4 min).
- Whole-group choral naming at each stop β shape word + air-draw (β2 min).
- Optional child-led find: 1β2 volunteers point to extra shapes (β1 min).

Step 4 Β· Cheering Up (β7 min)
Purpose: Phonics /c/ circle and /s/ square β visual cue cards + finger trace + whole-body TPR + peer cheer.

If a child refuses to stand for TPR, offer seated trace: "You can trace from your spot β cuh circle β perfect."

Wrap-up: Calming Down (5 mins)
Purpose: Lower energy with breathing, affirm shape-hunt effort, build a calm shape collage, and close with Goodbye Song.

Purpose: Breathing, shape collage, compliment, goodbye song, dismissal.
